About this policy

Aus Global Trading is committed to protecting personal information in accordance with the Personal Information Protection Law of the People's Republic of China (the "PIPL"). This policy explains how we collect, hold, use, and disclose personal information about our customers, trade account holders, and website visitors.

Information we collect

We collect personal information necessary to operate our export supply business. This includes business name, contact name, email address, phone number, delivery and port details, business registration details, and payment information. We also collect basic web analytics (page views, referral source) through our website. We do not collect sensitive personal information as defined under the PIPL.

Cookies and analytics

With your consent, our website uses Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager, which set cookies to measure page views, referral sources, and general usage so we can improve the site. This data is collected in aggregate and is not used to personally identify you. No analytics cookies are set until you accept them via the consent banner, and you can decline at any time without affecting your use of the site. You can also clear cookies through your browser settings. For more information, see Google's privacy policy at policies.google.com/privacy.

How we use your information

Personal information is used to process trade account applications, prepare quotations, fulfil and ship orders, issue invoices and manage payments, prepare export documentation, respond to enquiries, and send trade-relevant communications such as product updates and pricing changes. We do not use personal information for direct marketing unrelated to our wholesale export business.

Disclosure to third parties

We may share personal information with freight forwarders, shipping lines and logistics partners for delivery purposes, customs brokers and statutory authorities for export clearance, and our accounting and ERP systems for order and credit management. We do not sell, rent, or trade personal information to third parties. As an exporter we routinely transfer shipment details outside China to the extent required to deliver your order; where the PIPL requires it, such cross-border transfers are made on the basis of your separate consent.

Data security

We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, loss, and unauthorised access. Trade account records are stored in secured systems with access limited to authorised staff. When personal information is no longer needed for the purpose it was collected, we take reasonable steps to destroy or de-identify it.

Access and correction

You may request access to the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct information that is inaccurate, incomplete, or out of date. Requests should be made in writing to sales@austglobaltrading.com.au. We will respond within 30 days. In some cases we may decline access as permitted under the PIPL, in which case we will give reasons in writing.

Complaints

If you believe we have not handled your personal information in accordance with this policy or the PIPL, you may lodge a complaint in writing to sales@austglobaltrading.com.au. We will acknowledge your complaint within 5 business days and endeavour to resolve it within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may raise the matter with the Cyberspace Administration of China or the competent local data protection authority.
